Taming the Walrus Retreat in Ericeira, Portugal – October 11th to 18th 2014
Ericeira Retreat – Yoga for MS is for People with MS and their friends, partners or carers, exploring how Yoga, Diet and Mindfulness can help you discover new ways to meet the challenges of living with MS and improve the quality of your life.

Véronique started practising yoga when she was diagnosed with MS in 2001. She soon realised how beneficial it was and decided to become a Vinyasa yoga teacher in 2009 to share her experience and love of yoga. In 2013, she went to India to do an Advanced Training in Yoga Therapy in the Paramanand Yoga Research Institute and developed sequences focusing on specific MS issues like fatigue, balance etc. She wishes to show you the invaluable tools that yoga offers to energize, restore and balance. The retreat includes a one-to-one session to assess your particular needs. (Note that this retreat is not suitable for chair yoga.)
Further information about our approach and practices is available on line and in our Retreat Manual which you will receive upon arrival so you can take notes and keep practising once you return home! But this is a holiday too and time will also be available to watch videos, get to know each other, have a wonderful massage or go to the beach!
We are absolutely delighted to organise this event in the Omassim guesthouse in Ericeira Portugal, run by our good friends Lia and Eduardo .
We have no doubt that their warmth, many years’ experience hosting retreats and Eduardo’s amazing cooking will leave you nurtured, relaxed and ready to tame the walrus. We hope you will join us!
Note: We prefer to keep the groups small and intimate so we don’t accept more than 8 participants.
