The Wise Body Retreat

September 6, 2026 - September 12, 2026
Algarve

Understand Your Body. Move Better. Feel Better.

This is not a retreat about escaping your life. It’s about learning how to live better in your body, for the years ahead.
Set in the quiet hills of the Algarve, this exclusive retreat welcomes a maximum of 7 participants and is designed for women and men 45+ who want to stay strong, active, and connected to their bodies as they age.
If you’ve started noticing stiffness, slower recovery, or subtle changes in how your body feels and moves, this is your space to understand why, and what to do about it.
You’ll learn how aging affects your body, and more importantly, how to work with it, not against it. If you’ve read the book, this retreat is an opportunity to apply the knowledge shared, turning insights into practical, hands-on experience.

Move with Intelligence (Mobility & Strength)

Daily sessions focus on improving mobility, joint health, and functional strength. You’ll learn:
– Why mobility declines, and how to rebuild it
– Why strength and speed are crucial for body and mind
– How fascia influences stiffness, pain, and ease of movement
– How to move in ways that support your joints long-term
This is not about pushing harder. It’s about moving smarter.

Understand Your Changing Body

We’ll break down key topics in an accessible, relevant way:
– Ageing & movement: what actually changes, and what doesn’t have to
– Fascia: the missing link in flexibility and pain
– Chronic inflammation : how it affects energy and recovery
– Stress & the nervous system: why your body may feel ‘tight’ or tired

Reconnect Mind & Body

Through guided sessions, you’ll rebuild awareness of your body from the inside out.
– Breathwork to regulate the nervous system but also reconnect with your authentic energy
– Meditation to improve presence and body awareness
– Practices that help you feel – not just think about – your body
– But ageing well is also about recovering better. You’ll have time each day to rest deeply, spend time in nature, reflect and integrate what you’re learning
– Enjoy fresh – mostly organic and local – plant-based meals designed to support energy levels, reduced inflammation and overall wellbeing

Who This Retreat Is For

This retreat is for anyone 45+ who want to take care of their bodies in a realistic, sustainable way. You’ll feel at home here if you:
– Feel your body changing and want to better understand it
– Are curious about fascia, stress, and inflammation
– Prefer a practical, grounded approach over trends or extremes
No need to be ‘fit’ or experienced – just willing to learn and explore.
